Fiorentina Director Benarkan Kalinic So Target AC Milan, But …
Nikola Kalinic is one of AC Milan’s goals, but Fiorentina director Giancarlo Antognoni insists until now the Croatian striker is still a player status La Viola.
Fiorentina has so far lost many of his key players. From Borja Valero, Federico Bernardeschi, Gonzalo Rodriguez and Ciprian Tatarusanu, all of them were enthusiastic about leaving the club based in Artemio Franchi.
“Kalinic is still a Milan target, but nothing has changed and to this day everything remains the same,” Antognoni said.
“It’s great that the Fiorentina players are linked to big clubs, because that means we’ve done well. Will there be a player exchange for Kalinic? That’s not my area of expertise.
“Fiorentina never sent anyone, but some players wanted a different experience or refused to sign a new contract, such as Bernardeschi.
“If someone leaves, we hope the others will arrive with the same qualities and want to stay in this squad,” he added.
Later, Antognoni also spoke about one of Fiorentina’s last season’s rising star, Matias Vecino, who was Inter Milan’s target.
“Vecino has a release clause of 24 million Euros in his contract. After it is paid, he will move to the club that activates the clause. We can not do anything, “he said. (Source: Sky Sport Italia)
