Indonesia Rely on Counterattack when Meeting Thailand
U-22 National Team Indonesia will rely on counterattack strategy against Thailand in the inaugural match of Group B SEA Games 2017, Tuesday (15/08/2017). Coach Luis Milla has prepared the plan at the last training session at Pelita Harapan School Field, Karawaci, Tangerang, Friday (08/11/2017).
The counter-attack exercise was conducted on the sidelines of material anticipating the set-piece balls devoured by the players. According to assistant coach U-22 national team, the Milky Way, the quality of Thailand has made them have to find a strategy to be able to balance the excess.
“We will play using the speed that players have (Indonesia),” said the Milky Way.
“Thailand played very well in defending and attacking, and their game organization is good,” he added.
The players who have speed like Saddil Ramdani and Febri Hariyadi, can be relied upon Indonesia to run that strategy.
“So we will use counter attack quickly,” said the man born in 1976.
Thailand and Indonesia have met in the 2018 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification round. The 90-minute duel that continued to rain was ended with a goalless draw.
